🎉 Get ready to celebrate 30 Years of National Public Health Week! 🎉 In 1995, National Public Health Week was launched to shine a spotlight on public health's vital role in our lives. This April, we're celebrating three decades of progress that transformed health outcomes across the nation. Check out this new infographic that commemorates many of these significant achievements. Join us at George Washington University on April 7 to celebrate these successes. https://lnkd.in/en4H_QkA 🚀 Look at how far we've come! ✅ Expanded health care access through the Affordable Care Act, covering 35+million Americans ✅ LGBTQ+ equity in health care with inclusive policies and nondiscrimination protections ✅ Mental health advocacy, integrating services into primary care and improving access ✅ Health tech innovations like telemedicine, AI-assisted diagnostics and wearable health trackers ✅ Public health wins: lower smoking rates, reduced teen pregnancies, and increased breast cancer screenings Public health is always evolving — so as we celebrate our successes, let’s keep pushing for a healthier, more equitable future for all. 💬 What public health achievement has impacted your life the most? This is a particularly great opportunity for students to tackle a public health challenge that is important to them and to help shape UPHA's advocacy efforts in the future. If you are interested, Skyler Crouch is happy to brainstorm with students and help them craft a resolution. Students can contact him directly at skyler.crouch@utah.edu.
