This year the UW Doctor of Physical Therapy program is hosting a step challenge between the classes of 2025, 2026, and program faculty. Over the week of July 8-12, these three teams will go head to head to see who can have the highest average number of steps across the whole week. Representatives from the two winning teams get to pie representatives from the losing team! The goal of this is to foster friendly competition between the members of the Division of Physical Therapy and to raise money for the Marquette Challenge which supports the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research. This helps to support research efforts in the field of physical therapy which can help to develop new treatments and improve outcomes for various conditions. As a research institution, the UW has, and continues, to perform research in the field of physical therapy, that we, as students, get to learn from. We hope to pay it forward so that our community can benefit from physical therapy research, both through education and clinical practice. Please consider donating to the Marquette challenge through our JustGiving page https://lnkd.in/g9rCNBHb
