They presented their findings from the projects they've been working on and their experiences over the course of this internship. The interns gave their insights on this opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop hard and soft skills, and work on impactful projects that provide value to their respective teams. Finally, Shirley Gadot is the last of our summer 2024 interns. Shirley is an undergraduate student studying advertising at The University of Texas at Austin. She is working as a Marketing and Communications intern this summer. She is also partaking in the Texas Creative Program at UT Austin in hopes of furthering her understanding and abilities in graphic design. She hopes to continue helping brands share their identity with the world. #UniversityLandsIntern

Last week, UL’s summer interns took an exciting three-day trip to West Texas. During the visit, they got to meet team members at the UL Midland office, tour oil and gas field operations, see a wind farm, explore the Petroleum Museum, and have an executive chat with UL’s Sr. VP of Operations, Richard Brantley. Marketing and Communications Manager, Antonia Jones, Chief Geologist, John Tackett, and Sr. Engineering Advisor, Hongjie X., went with interns Hossam Ebaid, Karen Li, Valeria Garza, Shirley Gadot, Muskan Bajaj, Dinghan Wang, and Aarnav Gakhar on this enriching experience. Being able to see the complexities and innovations behind the scenes was truly eye-opening. A special appreciation goes to Derek Davis, P.E., R.
