A huge thank you to Associate Vice Chancellor & Controller, Veronica Hinojosa Segura, NACD, D.C. for attending our interns' final presentations in support of her mentee and UL intern Karen Li. She stopped and chatted with our interns after the presentations and left them with a few parting words of wisdom and encouragement! #UniversityLandsIntern

Yesterday, our interns shared their final presentations to their supervisors, mentors, and members of the UL offices in Midland and Houston. They presented their findings from the projects they've been working on and their experiences over the course of this internship. The interns gave their insights on this opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop hard and soft skills, and work on impactful projects that provide value to their respective teams. These presentations also mark the nearing end of their internship at University Lands! #UniversityLandsIntern

Finally, Shirley Gadot is the last of our summer 2024 interns. Shirley is an undergraduate student studying advertising at The University of Texas at Austin. She is working as a Marketing and Communications intern this summer. She is also partaking in the Texas Creative Program at UT Austin in hopes of furthering her understanding and abilities in graphic design. She hopes to continue helping brands share their identity with the world. #UniversityLandsIntern

Dive into day two and three of the intern’s trip to Midland. The interns wrapped up their trip on day three with an engaging executive chat with Richard Brantley, UL’s Sr. VP of Operations, who imparted valuable career advice and provided historical insights about UL. #UniversityLandsIntern

Last week, UL’s summer interns took an exciting three-day trip to West Texas. During the visit, they got to meet team members at the UL Midland office, tour oil and gas field operations, see a wind farm, explore the Petroleum Museum, and have an executive chat with UL’s Sr. VP of Operations, Richard Brantley. Marketing and Communications Manager, Antonia Jones, Chief Geologist, John Tackett, and Sr. Engineering Advisor, Hongjie X., went with interns Hossam Ebaid, Karen Li, Valeria Garza, Shirley Gadot, Muskan Bajaj, Dinghan Wang, and Aarnav Gakhar on this enriching experience. Today, we are excited to introduce Valeria Garza. Valeria is an undergraduate student studying Information systems at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She is working as an IT intern this summer. She will be graduating this December and hopes to continue working in data analytics. #UniversityLandsIntern

Thank you Sequitur Energy Resources for hosting UL’s interns on a visit to their oil & gas operations on PUF Lands. Being able to see the complexities and innovations behind the scenes was truly eye-opening.   A special appreciation goes to Derek Davis, P.E., R. Lee Elsner, and Braden Merrill for their expert guidance throughout the operations and for answering all our questions. Their dedication and passion for their work is inspiring and made the experience unforgettable. The knowledge and insights gained by our interns will be invaluable for their future careers. Thank you again for providing such an amazing learning experience.

Today we present Hossam Ebaid, a graduate student specializing in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University. This summer, he's serving as an intern in reservoir engineering.
