I'm thrilled to share that UO Pride Festival 2024 was a terrific success! As the Education & Outreach Coordinator for LGBT Education & Support Services at UO, I had the honor of organizing this event, which celebrated queer pride and connected students to on- and off-campus resources and community organizations. This year's theme revolved around two guiding questions: "What does pride mean to you?" and "How do you show your pride?". The event had a wide variety of activities that addressed these questions, the goals of which ranged from promoting queer joy and reflection to educating attendees on 2SLGBTQIA3+-related policies, legislation, and histories. As an organization, we collaborated with 25+ organizations to highlight the resilience, strength, and solidarity of the 2SLGBTQIA3+ community at the University of Oregon and Eugene as a whole. All this culminated in a day of reflection, connection, and joy that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event unforgettable. I'm so incredibly grateful to be part of such a wonderful and hardworking team 🌈✨
