About us
Urgent Care for Children offers families a unique service as all of our providers are pediatric trained, not all urgent care centers can say that. Families benefit from our high-quality after-hours and weekend care, less waiting and onsite x-ray, pharmacy, and lab. Founded in 2017 by a group of physicians who as parents themselves, understood that children’s illnesses or injuries don’t follow normal business hours, Urgent Care for Children now has 8 locations throughout Alabama. As one of Alabama's highest patient rated urgent cares, we are proud to serve as a trusted resource to parents and to ensure every child has access to expert pediatric care. We have a deep commitment to supporting the communities we serve, sharing our passion for: o Children-- Our sole focus is caring for children and everything from our waiting rooms to our equipment to our overall approach is designed just for them. o Customer Experience—parents have spoken and our providers approach to listening and providing compassionate care and our everything under one roof model gets rave reviews! o Inclusivity—we believe all children should have access to high quality care and have designed our offerings to support the unique needs of children. o Our People-- they are the backbone of our organization, and we are grateful for their gifts and talents. From a smile as you enter, to taking the time to review care instructions--our team will always go the extra mile.

💡Daycare illnesses are inevitable for little ones who go to a childcare center — no one knows this better than working parents and caregivers! Young kids tend to get sick frequently because their immune systems are inexperienced. 🌟While adults and older children have more of a “blueprint” of immune tolerance built up over years of exposure to germs and viruses, infants and toddlers are more likely to contract illnesses as they are exposed to them. Daycare provides essential help for busy families; unfortunately, frequent sickness is often part of this experience. ✅Take a moment to learn more about the signs and symptoms of five common daycare illnesses to help keep your child healthy and limit the spread of germs by reading our newest blog post. 🌟Did You Know: Mosquitoes are vectors for diseases, which means they can transmit diseases from one human or animal to another. The mosquito population is hard to control, and they often develop resistance to insecticides, making the containment and elimination of mosquito-borne diseases difficult. 🌟The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an alert on a new emerging infectious disease, Oropouche virus. Oropouche is spread through the bite of certain mosquitoes and biting midges. Between January 1 and August 1, 2024, more than 8,000 cases of Oropouche virus disease were reported, including two deaths and five cases of vertical transmission of the virus to the fetus associated with fetal death or congenital abnormalities. 🌟For more information visit: https://lnkd.in/etKJ6EQu #CDC #UrgentCare #UrgentCareforChildren #UC4C #AlabamaHealth #Alabama #CDCWarning #HealthInformation #CommunityFirst
