NY District is the first district with the Corps of Engineers, going back to 1775. We have been integral in many of the engineering solutions in the US and around the world. New York District is responsible for water resource development, navigation, and regulatory activities in NJ, NY, VT, CT & MA. The District is also responsible for design and construction at U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force installations in NJ, NY & in Greenland. The District's area of responsibility encompasses more than 20 million people spread throughout 37 congressional districts.
