About us
USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital delivers more babies annually than any other hospital in Mobile. That’s because we offer the most advanced care in the region. Since the need for advanced treatment cannot always be predicted during pregnancy and delivery, expectant parents have peace of mind when they deliver at a hospital that offers a neonatal intensive care unit, the most advanced treatments and specialty-trained physicians readily available if an emergency occurs. We provide highly regarded surgical, oncological, clinical and acute care to women and children. Our team of physician specialists, nurses and technicians care for the medical needs of women and children with a family-centered approach.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is observed on Oct. 15. In the United States, 1 out of every 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage and 1 and every 160 pregnancies end in stillbirth. Sadly, these numbers don't include infant death from preterm labor, diagnosis of life-limiting conditions, or SIDS. Join USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital in remembering all of the families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. On Oct. 9-15, the hospital will be illuminated in pink and blue light and members of our Labor and Delivery department will have information and LED tea light candles available at a table outside the cafeteria for those who want to take part in a national Wave of Light celebration on Oct. 15. Wave of Light is an annual observance inviting families across the world to light a candle at 7 p.m. and leave it burning for at least one hour to remember all babies that have passed away too soon.
