About us
Based in Indianapolis, USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States, encompassing seven disciplines: women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, gymnastics for all (aka group gymnastics) and, most recently, parkour. USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern the sport of gymnastics, including selecting and training the U.S. Gymnastics Teams for the Olympics and World Championships; promoting and developing gymnastics on the grassroots and national levels, as well as a safe, empowered and positive training environment; and serving as a resource and educational center for the more than 200,000 members, clubs, fans and gymnasts throughout the United States. The organization is deeply committed to creating a culture that encourages and supports its athletes and focuses on its highest priority: the safety and well-being of athletes and our community.

It's been over a week since Gymnastics City USA wrapped in Minneapolis, and we still aren't over it! 🤩 Let’s recap: ☑️ Nearly 60,000 total attendance at the Olympic Trials ☑️ Visitors from 5 continents ☑️ Over 1 mile activated in Downtown Minneapolis ☑️ 1,000 gymnasts danced at the Promenade du Nord Kick-off ☑️ 60 maker, artisan, and food vendors on Promenade du Nord ☑️ More than 700 autographs signed by gymnastics legends ☑️ 3,500 free-fall jumps taken ☑️ 2,008 athletes in the USA Gymnastics Championships

A week removed from the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Gymnastics and we still can't believe what an incredible celebration it was! From legends of the support returning to new Olympians being named, from Flip Zone events to a Promenade du Nord flash mob - we loved seeing gymnastics highlighted all across the city of Minneapolis! Thank you to our staff, contractors & volunteers and of course, our wonderful friends at Target Center - ASM Global, Minnesota Sports and Events & Meet Minneapolis for helping us bring the Trials to life! Next stop: Paris!
