Kudos to our Education Design Lab colleagues for the Texas Flywheel Initiative in West Texas to identify and solve talent challenges faced by the state's digital economy! Carving out space for employer leadership and taking a methodical approach to define the real problem at hand is essential to creating meaningful solutions that will benefit students, workers, employers, and educators in the region. https://lnkd.in/edpQJp2J

At the #IWDForum, Edward Jones principal Vanessa Okwuraiwe shared how the private sector can better support working caregivers—especially those in the 'sandwich generation.' "Many women want the choice and ability to have careers, be caregivers, and be the “chief financial officer” of their families but balancing these responsibilities can have significant impacts on health and wealth. This is especially true for the “sandwich generation”—adults who are juggling caregiving responsibilities for both their children and aging parents or relatives." 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e_GZA7Az
