We are thrilled to announce the successful export and arrival of fresh California peaches and nectarines to Vietnam, marking a significant trade milestone for U.S. agriculture! 🤝 This achievement opens a $2.5 million market, thanks to the collaborative efforts of USDA, the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, the California Fresh Fruit Association, and Vietnam's Plant Protection Department. On August 14th we celebrated this success in Hanoi, recognizing the strong trade partnership between the U.S. and Vietnam. Our commitment at USDA-APHIS and USDA-FAS remains focused on facilitating safe and resilient trade, supporting U.S. producers, and providing global access to America’s top-quality and diverse agricultural products. Pictured in the photo (top left of the montage) celebrating the fruit’s arrival in Hanoi is U.S. Ambassador Marc Knapper, Regional Manager APHIS IS, Marc Gilkey, CFFA Trade Director, Caroline Stringer, Vietnam Plant Protection Department Deputy Director, Mr. Heui, and FAS Senior Counselor, Ralph Bean. #TradeSuccess #Agriculture #USDA #APHIS #GlobalTrade #FAS
