With over 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 experiencing color blindness… creating an accessible web experience is essential 👏. ➡️ Swipe to discover 5 actionable steps to make your website color-blind friendly. #UserWay #DigitalAccessibility #WebDesign Image description: Carousel of images. 1: " Design smarter: 5 tips for creating a color-blind friendly website.” 2: "1. Choose colors wisely. It’s not just red/green combos! Avoid pairing green with darker shades of gray, blue, brown, or black. Blue/purple can be tricky too. Pick colors everyone can easily see!" 3: “2. Optimize background colors. Stick with a simple white or off-white background and dark text for high contrast. Remember: Clear contrast matters in graphics and images, too. Use size and typeface to make headings pop, rather than just relying on color alone.” 4: “3. Use multiple cues for links. Avoid links that only differ by color. Use underlines or bold text to make them obvious to everyone.”5. “4. Add descriptive text to images. Colors like red and orange can appear identical to color-blind users. Add detailed text descriptions to images so everyone can understand what they're seeing.” 6: “5. Increase text contrast. Avoid low-contrast combos like light gray text on a white background. Use tools like contrast checkers to ensure your text is as readable as possible.”
