Thank you for the shoutout! The USF Institute of Applied Engineering, Inc. is excited that our engineers have the opportunity to share their journey through the TechLeap Challenge. 🚀 It’s inspiring to see the hard work and innovation behind advancing precision landing technologies, especially for challenging environments like the lunar surface. We’re proud to be part of a community pushing the boundaries of space exploration.
On Wed. Nov. 6 at 1pm ET, join the Flight Opportunities webinar “Advancing Technologies Through Flight Test Over a Simulated Lunar Surface” for a conversation about the Nighttime Precision Landing Challenge and the recent flight tests of the winners’ technologies. Part of the NASA TechLeap Prize, this challenge sought to advance the affordability and reduce the complexity of precision landing capabilities to deliver spacecraft to safe landing locations, particularly when the terrain is hazardous and lighting conditions are challenging. In a discussion moderated by Flight Opportunities personnel, Astrobotic and the three challenge winners will discuss the technologies, the flight tests, lessons learned, and what comes next.
