Each August, Utahns from across the Wasatch Front flock to the Salt Lake Parade of Homes to see the latest trends and innovations in homebuilding. This year’s parade features something it has never had in its 78-year history: emission-free homes, which are 40% more energy efficient than traditional new builds in Utah. It was the perfect morning to take a tour of the two gorgeous, zero-emission homes on display at the SLC Parade of Homes. Thanks to a grant from the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, Utah Clean Energy worked with the teams at SEGO HOMES, Ivory Homes, and Garbett Homes to build several ultra-energy efficient, emission-free homes. The goal is to help more builders and vendors learn about and adopt these high-performance building practices! Janet Quinney Lawson Institute for Land, Water, and Air at Utah State University
