Raise the roof for this year's No. 3 Startup to Watch: Ruck 🏗 Ruck is the Superman of construction. When home builders are on tight deadlines but find themselves in need of extra equipment, Ruck makes the Home Depot run for them — so builders can stay engaged and on-site with their projects. 🚧 "Our long-term vision for Ruck is not just to be a delivery company. The future value we want to drive is to bring e-commerce into construction in a very organic, blue collar-led experience. Long-term, our business model is going to be like Amazon for construction." - Lee Chang, CEO 🚧 "In the blue collar world, when it comes to credibility, they'll look at your hands and ask, 'Do you actually do the work?' Sometimes, the start of a relationship with them is to show we can get the work done for them right there." - Shaun Merritt, COO Read more at the link in our bio. #uv50 #startupstowatch #ruck #construction #bluecollar #constructionstartup #constructiondelivery

This winter, it’s snowing pink. ✨ In 2023, a report found that just 16% of Utah’s business founders are women. Well, it’s time for that 16% to share their stories. For our winter issue of the magazine, we’re looking for Utah Valley’s female founders — from STEM to marketing to education, and industries in between. We’re looking for women who aren’t afraid to bring their bold voices to the table — the women who are building business empires from scratch, and who support others along the way. 🫶 Nominations close Oct. 30. Fill out a nomination at the link in the comments. Tyler Moore started Lion's Pride Insurance in 2019 when he noticed how confusing the insurance industry had become. “Once a policy is in place, there is often no incentive for an agent to continue to protect or help their clients navigate the sometimes confusing world of health and life insurance,” he says. “The result: families get lost and aren't taught how to utilize the insurance they have to its fullest potential. For this reason, Lion's Pride Insurance was created … to be the solution to that problem.” Get to know a bit about founder Tyler Moore below! Q: Share a bit about how you came up with the branding of Lion's Pride. A: I wanted something that was family focused and known for protecting its family. The lion felt like the best personification of that. We treat everyone like family. I’m often asked if this is the plan I’d put my grandma on, and I say yes (because she is on the plan). Q: What is one of the most rewarding parts of your career? A: One of the things that really drives me is when a family is having their first or second child. There's so much to understand and work through. We are able to assist in taking one of the biggest steps of "adulting" and make it a simple and easy process. Doing what we do allows young families to spend less time worrying about who's going to cover the visit to the NICU and more time enjoying those sweet precious first moments of a baby's life. Q: What goals do you have for the future? A: One of our goals this year is to be able to support 850 families by the end of the year. We'd also like to grow the same quality of service into more states (right now we are in Utah and Idaho). #familyinsurance #utahvalleybusiness #utahinsurance #insuranceagent #lionsprideinsurance
