Just made history! Did you see it? Tripping a 40,000lb wall panel is not something you’ve likely seen before! This short clip demonstrates a critical step in a revolutionary new process being developed in concrete wall construction by Innovatech and BZI. There’s so much I’d like to share about what’s going on here, but I’ll summarize for now and share more later: What you’re seeing are the very first walls of our Nautilus 1 project at the BZI Innovation Park in Cedar City. But more than that, they are the first walls to be cast and set using our innovative new process. This new process for concrete wall construction will be truly game changing in reducing project schedules and improving safety. More to come. Stay tuned!

Several members of our team had the opportunity to visit the potential Historic Capitol Project Area in Fillmore City, bordered by I-15, SR 99, & SR 100. This 1,960-acre area is vital for Millard County's growth and sustainability. This project area goes before our Board on August 1 for final review! UIPA has approved an incentive for Dominguez Grid, LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, to develop a 200 megawatt battery energy storage system in the Northwest Quadrant project area. Battery energy storage is a powerful solution that enables traditional renewables like solar and wind to be more flexible throughout the day. It stores excess power during low-demand times and releases it during peak periods, reducing reliance on natural gas and promoting a sustainable energy mix. UIPA has proposed a 20%, post-performance, annual property tax rebate for up to 25 years as an incentive, contingent on the facility's operational status and minimal water usage. This $314 million project will significantly enhance Salt Lake’s energy capacity, especially during peak demand periods. This approval highlights UIPA's commitment to sustainable development and attracting green technology investments, marking a major step towards a cleaner, more resilient energy future for Utah.
