Last month, California declared a state of emergency as giant landslides slowly tore apart a southern California city.   Now, new research from University of California, Santa Cruz and University of Texas Institute for Geophysics could provide a way to map future landslide hotspots using techniques developed for earthquake science.   The study is out now in Science Advances.
