SRO BASIC COURSE In light of recent school shootings and threats in our local communities, it’s more important than ever to ensure our School Resource Officers (SROs) are fully equipped to protect our students and staff. LEIC offers a 40-hour POST approved SRO Basic Course designed to prepare officers for the unique challenges of working in schools. Course topics include essential Tennessee laws, policies and procedures, social media and technology, and active shooter to help officers respond effectively in high-stress situations.
