We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jacquelyn Svoboda, our Director of Educational Innovations & Associate Professor, has officially stepped into the role of Chair for the UTMB Faculty Senate as of September!🎉 At the Annual Senate meeting on September 9, Dr. Svoboda was warmly welcomed into this leadership position. We're also proud to share that five SON faculty members will represent us as senators in FY2025: Drs. Kim Abraham, Meredith Ford, Letitia Graves, Shinu Joy, and Professor Christen Sadler. Did you know that HUT has proudly partnered with the UTMB School of Nursing in Galveston since 2020? We kicked off another year of working together by inviting UTMB School of Nursing volunteers to engage with our HUTs at The La Marque High School! Last week, 120 of our incredible DNP students participated in the Friday Night at the ER simulation, a powerful experience that challenged them to navigate real-world healthcare scenarios in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
