📚 New publication: "Optimizing external advisory committee meetings of Clinical and Translational Science Awards through focused pre-review" examines ICTR's External Advisory Committee process, which now includes small-group meetings before the full board meeting. Published in JCTS, the article presents findings from an evaluation of this approach and offers insights that the authors (ICTR's Shannon Casey, Ph.D., Beth Burnside, MD, and Allan Brasier, MD) hope will prove useful for other CTSA hubs. ICTR is delighted to announce the awarding of 11 Translational Basic and Clinical pilot awards for 2024, representing a total investment of $550,000 in new research to benefit human health. This year, we recognize the generous co-funding from the UW Carbone Cancer Center and the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center for six of the pilot projects.
