    We had a marketing need and a handful of ideas. So we built a team of artists around a shared vision. Each person with a unique way of seeing the need – the ideas grew into animated videos. And then we won. And we won again. And again and again and again. And even though the videos we submitted to the Collision Awards are about us — the wins aren’t. This post isn’t even really about the wins. No, this post is about the work, the vision, the fun (!), and our collective pursuit of awesome, effective videos. And it’s about the people who put everything they had into the work. Specifically, these people: Tyler Littwin, Sean Brodeur, Ben Drake, Brianna White, Chris Plante, Alli Axelsen, Shaw Flick, Derek Kruk, Ben Carmeli, Matt Barretto, Laura Porat, Matthew R., Nadia Healey and Team V A G R A N T S.     Don’t judge an Uglybook by its cover. When we got the call from Visual Artist and owner of the notebook brand Jon Contino (who designed the little dudes you see on our site) we knew this was the perfect directorial debut of our very own assistant editor/social media queen Nadia Healey. Uglybooks are designed to break down walls and open up a world of free thought. With the use of set design and world building Nadia wanted to introduce us to the different personalities who may use Uglybooks to create, write or just go nuts.     Huge thanks to the team at SYNC for inviting Kristin Bride & me to participate in this year's Sync Summit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia! The summit brought together experts from around the world to discuss the digital crossroads we face today, and what it takes to move into a humane tech future. On the "Compassionate Connections" panel with Shahroo Izadi, and moderated by Oli Barrett, I discussed my trials and tribulations reigning in addictive tech in my own life, shared hacks for better screen time habits, and talked about my upcoming documentary #YourAttentionPlease It was incredible seeing the digital wellbeing community coming together in a global forum. As we're hitting an inflection point in the US it's exciting to see the momentum building around the globe.
