A few years ago we had the opportunity to photograph the North Charleston Aquatic Center for Brantley Construction Company. The 53,000 square foot facility sits right next to Fort Dorchester High School so it is shared by the City of North Charleston and DD2 school district. We had access to the building inside and out to capture the architecture and spaces. The large video wall presented a fun challenge to showcase as well.

We love covering The Maritime Association of South Carolina's Annual Gala held here in Charleston,SC. After the Covid lockdown in 2020, we were asked to photograph a small local 5k, and desperate to get back to work, we said yes! With as many years experience in wedding photography as we have, how hard could it be? Well, it turns out that photographing runners is quite tricky, but we were really good at it. Since then, we've been hired to do the marketing photography for LOTS of runs, including the Charleston Half Marathon, Myrtle Beach Marathon, the Bull City Marathon, City of Oaks marathon in Raleigh....and The Greenbrier Half Marathon in West Virginia, pictured here! (That place was gorgeous!) We feel so thankful for these unique opportunities to travel, learn and grow in our craft, and we are inspired by the marathoners every single time .

We love working with the local maritime industry here in Charleston with companies like Container Maintenance Corporation of the Marino Group for headshots, facilities, equipment and branding images at their many locations.

We had the opportunity to work with @jfisher729 and his wife @alice.fisher.142 to do some family photos and portraits for a book cover for his memoir “Never Give Up”. I met Jeffrey and Alice while routinely taking photos for @rhapsodyfitnesschs. That is where I learned that Jeffrey had suffered a devastating stroke in 2011 that left him paralyzed and unable to speak…but Jeffrey fought back. Through incredible determination and love from his team of supporters, he is now working out regularly and living his life to the fullest today. This photo with the storm clouds behind him was my personal favorite from our shoot. In that moment, I asked him to think about all the trials and “storms” he had gone through to be standing there at Breech Inlet. We had the opportunity to photograph Pulitzer Prize winning author Richard Ford here in Charleston while working with the Charleston Literary Festival last November.

It was quite the privilege to photograph the CEO of JPMorgan Chase Bank when he visited Charleston,SC.
