Preserving Tahoe heritage through arts, music, and theatre.

About us

Valhalla Tahoe events are a celebration of music, theatre and the visual arts at the lake. Events begin in June and continue through November. Valhalla’s Summer Concert Series, Summer Play and Improv Shows occur in the Boathouse Theatre. Other events like the Annual Holiday Faire take place in the Grand Hall. The Valhalla Art Gallery showcases featured artists that produce and display their art for the site’s many visitors. Many days you’ll find artists painting on the lawn to capture the grand views from the Heller Estate. The Boathouse Theatre was renovated in the early 1990s from one of the original turn of the century boathouses at the Tallac Historic Site. Sitting right on the lake shore, it provides the setting for a variety of theatrical performances, concerts and special programs. Seating 165, the Boathouse Theatre is a beautiful, intimate space to enjoy a show. Those coming to a performance can also enjoy a picnic on the lawn with friends before attending plays or concerts. Or wander out on the pier to enjoy the sunset during intermission.
