Last week, in collaboration with Value in health - الصحة الحكيمة, we hosted our first workshop in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 🇸🇦 The focus was on integrating Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) into routine clinical care and implementing them as part of the ongoing digital transformation projects. A big thank you to all the attendees who brought their expertise, and to our exceptional speakers from Value in health - الصحة الحكيمة, Reem F. Bunyan, MD, MSHA, MS, Issra Bargo, Sara AlMunif and Open Medical’s Michael Shenouda, Philip Beak, and Dr Parisa Zarringhalam. Your insights into the PROMs and value-based healthcare landscape in the Kingdom, alongside the shared learnings from our UK experience, were truly invaluable. 💫 Together, we explored how to advance the Kingdom's strategy for value-based healthcare and improve patient outcomes. With Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 being one of the most ambitious and advanced healthcare transformation strategies globally, we now stand at the critical stage of translating this vision into everyday clinical practice. The Global Innovation Hub for Improving Value in Health and the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford co-hosted a side event entitled “Prioritizing Effective Coordination & Equity to Building Resilient Health Systems.” The roundtable discussion and dinner were held on Saturday, August 31, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.   Taking place ahead of the 4th Brazil G20 Health Working Group meetings, this event brought together esteemed colleagues from national governments, academia, and international organizations. The discussions centered on the key insights and policy recommendations featured in the new Hub-Oxford report, focusing on health equity and effective coordination as critical components for building resilient health systems and achieving universal health coverage. Reem F. Bunyan, MD, MSHA, MS and Anna Petherick opened the event with an overview of the report before transitioning to remarks by expert speakers (Fábio Baccheretti, Allan Stein) and a roundtable discussion.   The roundtable discussion and subsequent dinner facilitated cross-sector engagement, providing participants the opportunity to foster new connections and align potential areas for collaboration. The Global Innovation Hub is excited to announce the public release of our latest report, “Leveraging Coordination and Promoting Equity: Lessons for Improving Value Across G20 Health Systems”. Produced in partnership with João Pedro Caleiro and Anna Petherick from the Lemann Foundation Programme at University of Oxford, this report examines coordination and equity as two focus areas for building high-value, resilient health systems. These themes are explored through the lenses of two value models: the ten components of the HVHS (High-Value Health Systems) model and the four pillars of the European Union’s value model. Featuring case studies from G20 countries such as the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Italy, Argentina, and the G20 host country, Brazil, the report outlines specific policy recommendations to support national level efforts to develop more equitable, resilient health systems, including: 1. Building, supporting, and strengthening national high-level health coordination forums 2. Ensuring a unified digital health infrastructure at the national level 3.
