Letinski, P.E., on being named Outstanding Young Professional Engineer!   Van Cleef was also awarded the Outstanding Public Project Award for their work on the Sharon Station Road Corridor Improvements project in Monmouth County. This project alleviated numerous substandard safety features, including congestion, high crash rates, poor sight distance, narrow bridge crossings, no shoulders, and roadway flooding. On Friday, June 29th the New Jersey Senate unanimously passed Senate Joint Resolution 40-0 to designate August of each year as "Professional Engineers Month" in NJ and first Wednesday in August of each year as "Professional Engineering Day." Nearly 10,000 professional engineers in New Jersey contribute significantly to the technological growth and economic well-being of this State through their work in manufacturing, engineering services, scientific research and development, construction, education, government, industry, and private practice. It is appropriate that professional engineers should be recognized for their many achievements on behalf of the industries, commerce, and the people of New Jersey. The Assembly counterpart AJR 50 – has passed the Assembly Regulated Professions Committee and await full approval of the NJ Assembly.
