🚀 Vantage is launching Nested Virtual Tags so you can easily build cost allocation hierarchies and nested structures. Virtual Tags are used to apply consistent tagging across cloud providers, standardize naming conventions, and extend tag coverage to untagged cloud resources. Nested Virtual Tags takes it one step further, enabling the most accurate allocation of your cloud costs by aligning cloud provider data with your internal taxonomies for effective grouping and querying.

It’s been a few months since AWS announced S3 Tables. Since then, there has been plenty of speculation that S3 is becoming a data lakehouse that will put data lakehouse companies out of business. 💸 #FinOps for AI spend is still in early days and pricing models are definitely shifting — but that’s exactly why observability matters! I just reviewed the AI costs we're tracking today: • OpenAI • Amazon Bedrock • Gemini • Azure AI services • GPU instances across four major clouds and on-prem • Kubernetes clusters with GPU-attached instances...which is popping up a lot more these days. We’ve been able to ramp quickly to handle all of these these because of how we originally architected the Vantage platform from the early days. That and our engineering team moves noticeably faster than anyone in the industry. Where else is AI spend slipping through the cracks? What should we add next? 🚀 Now announcing another new MSP feature: re-rating to public prices MSPs can now re-rate to public prices in Vantage, ensuring Managed Accounts see the actual costs they’re paying. Costs can automatically be shown without enterprise discounts or private pricing, eliminating tedious manual work involved with re-rating and allowing the Managed Accounts to see the costs right away. MSPs often face challenges in correctly attributing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans across their accounts. Vantage just released Discount Toggling for MSP Managed Accounts to alleviate the manual work.
