We were very saddened to learn about the sudden and unexpected passing of Frank Platt CMMC-RPA, CISSP Monday night. Frank was a member of the vCISO Services, LLC consulting family, but that was but a very small part of his involvement in the information security community. One of the many ways he gave back to the community was by serving on the Middle Tennessee ISACA chapter board of directors, and we have opted to share their beautiful tribute to him. He was generous, kind, and instantly a friend to all who met him, and will be greatly missed. https://lnkd.in/g2-_WwQm
Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Frank E. Platt, a remarkable man whose passion for cybersecurity and deep commitment to helping others not only shaped his career but left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Frank was not just an ISACA Middle TN Board Member; he was a visionary, a mentor, and a friend to many in the community. Frank's life was tragically cut short Monday night in Memphis due to a random act of violence. Frank was in Memphis spending time with his brothers. Beyond his professional accomplishments, which were many, what truly set Frank apart was his character. He was a man of integrity, always placing the needs of others above his own. His door was always open—whether you were a new connection needing guidance, a friend seeking advice, or a client requiring support. Frank believed in the potential of people and was passionate about mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. His encouragement and wise counsel have shaped the careers of many. Frank’s generosity extended beyond the professional realm. He was a dedicated supporter of various local nonprofits, always looking for ways to give back to his community. His benevolent spirit and commitment to service were evident in everything he was involved in. Today, as we remember Frank, we find comfort in the profound impact he had on our lives. He was a beacon of knowledge, kindness, and leadership. His legacy will continue to inspire us all, and his principles will live on through the many lives he touched. We are all better for having known Frank. As we say goodbye, let us honor his memory by embodying his spirit of service and integrity. Let us continue to support one another, share our knowledge generously, and strive to make the digital world a safer place, just as he did. Thank you, Frank, for everything. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
