The VDACS Office of International Marketing and the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) recently joined The Port of Virginia in welcoming a delegation of soybean buyers with crush and feed facilities in northern Africa. Buyers from Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt toured the facility and were impressed with the modernization and efficiency of the Portsmouth International Terminal.

Positions #W0046/W0070, Agricultural Specialist III, Pay Band 3 Hourly Rate: $17.34; however, this rate may be higher with recent experience in the industry and a related license. Deadline to apply is February 23, 2024 @ 11:55PM These positions are eligible for a night shift differential for hours worked between 4:30PM–5:30AM. These positions are restricted and paid for with non-general funds generated by assessing user fees for grading services requested by industry. These positions require the selected candidates to perform relief coverage for stationed graders and/or provide coverage at temporary plants utilizing USDA grading. These positions may also require holiday and/or weekend work which may be unplanned due to unforeseen situations based on client needs.
