VEJA launches its collaboration with P_____Andrade—reimagining the Fitz Roy. Inspired by Brazil & its nature, P_____Andrade is a contemporary Brazilian fashion brand founded by designers Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim. "The inspiration for this shoe came from our interest in sealing systems. We first tested the shoe during an Amazon expedition and were impressed by its efficiency and aesthetics," explained Pedro and Paula.   We were inspired by the Fitz Roy, VEJA's hiking outdoor and went for that patchwork effect and color blend; reminding the Igapos in the Amazon Rainforest with earthy tones, greys, and blues. The Fitz Roy is made from Alveomesh, a breathable, flexible, and lightweight material made of 100% recycled polyester.  Its sole is made with 31% Amazonian rubber, featuring grooves for optimal grip and stability. The V-90 Aegean Project is our first pair made in Europe. This collection is named after the Aegean Sea which borders part of Greece. That's why we wanted to do this photoshoot in Athens, the capital of Greece and the cradle of Western civilization. "We wandered around the streets of Athens with the photographer Aliocha Wallon whose brother lives in Athens and is therefore intimately connected to this city." VEJA x Make My Lemonade  This collab reimagines the iconic Volley style It's our second time working with Lisa Gachet, Make My Lemonade founder. For the design, we took inspiration of the 1970s' and combined it with her love for bright colors. "I'm passionate about color blocking and vibrant colorways. I love exploring different color combinations. Timeless classics like VEJA sneakers are the perfect canvas for experimentation." Lisa Gachet Fun fact: She came to our office in Paris to talk about the collab together, she then sketched her logo with a reversed "e" on a piece of paper, with a playful touch and we decided to incorporate into the back of the pair!
