Every outstanding tasting menu needs a decadent dessert to complete guests' palates. Today, we introduce the talented Alana Wang, Taiwanese American Pastry Chef who's behind Vendador's exceptional desserts! Her food is heavily influenced by her childhood - having grown up in Seattle; she draws often from Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean flavors. She’s not a huge fan of sweets, but started her career due to her mother’s interest in baking. You will often find savory components integrated into her desserts as well as jellies or ice cream 🧁 Alana attended French Pastry School and was previously the Pastry Chef of Chicago’s Oriole, a two star Michelin establishment, as well Junior Pastry Sous at Seattle’s fine dining landmark, Canlis, and a pastry cook at Sepia.
