The series is produced by Apple Studios and MACRO Television Studios. It was created and written by Paul Hunter and Aeysha Carr, who also serve as showrunners. The four-part documentary series features brand new interviews with prosecutor Christopher Darden, police detective Mark Fuhrman, defense attorney Carl Douglas, and more. Produced in part by Ventureland, the series is directed by Floyd Russ whose previous docuseries "American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing" premiered on Netflix in 2023.
