At Veris, we don't just talk about sustainability – we actively embrace it. This month, we're excited to spotlight Alray Adams, our Assistant Maintenance Manager, as our Employee Feature. When asked how he integrates sustainability into his work, Alray shared: “My team and I focus on sustainability during each unit turnover. We replace every fluorescent light fixture with energy-efficient LED fixtures. Depending on the size of the unit, we typically change between 8 to 12 light fixtures. This initiative not only helps us reduce energy consumption and lower emissions but also provides our residents with longer-lasting lighting compared to traditional fluorescent options.” Well done, Alray! 

It’s always a great day when we team up with Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County! Recently, we had the privilege of bringing our Veris Residential team—some even traveling from Boston—to volunteer on a build in Fair Lawn, NJ. Together, we painted the home's interior and brought the project one step closer to completion. This past weekend, we had the privilege of partnering with St Hubert's Animal Welfare Center to host a pet adoption event for residents at The BLVD Collection! As part of The Veris Promise, we proudly have no breed restrictions, encouraging everyone to explore the many wonderful adoption options. And here's the best part—if you adopt a pet from St. Hubert's by December 31, 2024, we’re offering six months of free pet rent! This event not only gave our residents the chance to meet and adopt animals in need of loving homes but also underscored the importance of supporting local shelters and building strong community connections #VerisResidential #VerisCommunity #RealEstate
