Big news in H2 innovation! Today, Verne and Diesel Tech Industries (DTI) unveiled the world’s first Class 8 truck powered by cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) at the Alberta Motor Transport Association Innovation Expo. This groundbreaking truck features DTI’s Guardian Hydrogen Diesel System and Verne’s cutting-edge CcH2 storage tech, offering 33% more hydrogen storage than traditional methods! This game-changing vehicle is another huge step towards achieving the 5,000 Hydrogen Vehicle Challenge, paving the way for longer travel distances and lower costs for fleets in Western Canada. 🌍🚚 Canada's path to net zero runs through the Edmonton Region! We are excited to work with Cryostar, an industry leader in cryogenics, to commercialize cryo-compressed hydrogen solutions!
Samuel Zouaghi, Claire Rivollier and Michael Huss were pleased to welcome to its French Headquarters Mr. Ted McKlveen, CEO of Californian start-up “Verne”, with whom we signed a memorandum of understanding in July 2024 to develop a full suite of cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) fueling solutions for heavy-duty station developers and heavy-duty fleets. The program included a tour of Cryostar and discussions on cryo-compressed filling. As a reminder, as part of the M.O.U. signed, Cryostar and Verne have agreed to jointly develop the hydrogen station technology of the future, dedicated to heavy-duty vehicles and which will be able to dispense both compressed hydrogen and CcH2, offering a small footprint and significantly lower implementation costs than current stations, to ensure economically viable development of the decarbonized heavy mobility market in the future! #BeCryostar #decarbonation #h2 #sustainability #FuelingSolutions #MoreThanCryogenics
