After closing on a $7 million round earlier this year, we’re in full swing building our flagship in Philadelphia — a one-of-a-kind social sports destination set to bring the best in sports, design, and hospitality together under one roof. Our summer pop-up was a huge hit, welcoming nearly 2,000 players since July and hosting 20+ high-energy events, a testament to the excitement around what we are bringing to the market. #Philly has always held a special place in my #racketsports-loving heart... It was the first place I ever played in a doubles #squash tournament (let's just say, it didn't go too well) and it was also the first place I ever played #padel. Specifically at the legendary original location of PADELphia on Venice Island. So, I was incredibly intrigued when I first heard about a somewhat mysterious project known as Ballers that was supposedly bringing both #padel and #squash to Philly, all under one roof. But I was never able to find out much info about it, until very recently, thanks to a #realestate article in The Philadelphia Inquirer about a soon-to-open riverfront development known as The Battery, which along with Padel Plant in Richmond is capitalizing on a super cool trend of repurposing historic old power plants into social living spaces complete with #pickleball and #padelcourts.
