  • We recently asked Dr. Rudd, owner of Annapolis Cat Hospital and Bay Ridge Animal Hospital, "What motivated you to pursue practice ownership & how did Veterinary Practice Partners help?" She responded, "One of the hardest things about obtaining practice ownership is the financial aspect. Veterinary Practice Partners helped connect me with the bank that provided me the loan needed to partner. Everyone I worked with was so helpful and made the whole process very easy. VPP truly cares about the people they employ. They want to help veterinarians like me create a practice where our staff can be valued and our patients can be provided with the best care possible." • Hello Veterinary Practice Partners Community, Please give Dr. Isaac Secor a warm welcome by saying hi! Dr. Isaac Secor grew up in Stillwater, MN, surrounded by animals from a young age. When not playing with his family's dogs, cats, chickens, or sheep, he could be found working at a neighbor's dairy farm or horse stable. This love of animals led Dr. Secor to vet school at the University of Minnesota. After graduation, Dr. Secor worked as a mixed animal vet for several years in rural California. Upon moving to Austin, Texas, he transitioned to working as a small animal emergency vet at a premier emergency and specialty center. Most recently, Dr. Secor was ""down under"" working at a non-profit hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where koalas, wombats, and kangaroos were seen alongside pets. After years away, Dr. Secor is excited to move back home and be of service to the pets and people of Minnesota. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Secor is most often found cuddling with his cats, training for a marathon, or enjoying the company of his partner. Dr. Secor likes to meet clients where they're at so they can make informed, collaborative medical decisions to get and keep their pets healthy. He looks forward to seeing you at the clinic soon!

  • Hello Veterinary Practice Partners Community, Please give Dr. Jesse Knibbs a warm welcome by saying hi! At a young age, Dr. Knibbs knew she would work with animals – though, as a child, she was more interested in dolphins and other marine mammals. After interviewing her family veterinarian in South Bend, IN, for a high school project, she realized she wanted to be a “dog-tor” and was able to start shadowing. Horses took sway in her heart after volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding facility. In the following years, she worked at multiple barns of various sizes, from a home with two pasture pals to breeding and training facilities with 100+ horses. She even spent six months working nights in Oklahoma, where she helped 300 foals be born. Dr. Knibbs attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate animal science coursework before concurrently attending Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine to earn her Doctorate and the University of Minnesota School of Public Health for her Master of Public Health degree. After graduation, she worked for USDA FSIS as a supervisory public health veterinarian to help protect and ensure the safety of our food supply. She works full-time for the Indiana Department of Health as an enteric epidemiologist, investigating outbreaks of foodborne illness. However, Dr. Knibbs missed clinical medicine and has been thrilled to join the 30th Street Animal Hospital team part-time. She loves preventative medicine, healthy lifestyles, and nutrition to help keep our pets healthy from a young age and reduce the burden of disease and other chronic illnesses. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Knibbs is an avid reader, hiker, and coffee-haulic. She and her partner have four loveable furballs: Dandy Andy the Labrador Retriever, and three cats that are out of this world – Moon, Sun, and Jupiter. She can often be found walking Andy at various parks across the Indy area, doing house renovation projects, and visiting friends and family.
