This month we recognize Joel Markham as our next Vital VETS, LLC. Joel enlisted into the Air Force in 2018 where he became an Electrical & Environmental Specialist. During his six-year tenure at Whiteman AFB, Joel worked on the B-2, which is the Air Force's most expensive aircraft. Not only was he skilled in his primary role but expanded his capabilities by serving as a 3D modeler for maintenance tools. As he prepared to transition from active duty, Joel discovered VETS through the Skillbridge program. Joel provided the following statement: "After meeting Jason, Tim, and the rest of the (VETS) leadership, I knew I made the right choice because they understood what military life is like making the transition easy." We are grateful to have Joel Markham as a Software Solutions Support Engineer and thank you once again to the DoD-SkillBridge program for another successful transitioned veteran. #hirevets #dodskillbridge #skillbridgeprogram #engineer #airforce #USAFveteran #b2plane #3dmodeler #welcometotheteam #smallbusiness #vetsllc #military #militarytransition

North Alabama’s engineering education non-profit, IDEA, “The Institute for Digital Enterprise Advancement” has made a significant step forward accomplishing its mission by presenting a $20-thousand dollar check to Wallace State Community College. This financial boost, made possible through support of 4th District Congressman Robert Aderholt, will enable Wallace State to enhance the education of students enrolled in the “Systems Engineering Technology” (SET) major. Wallace State’s SET program provides a focused two-year associate degree pathway for students interested in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). VETS, LLC's Deputy Director Vernon James assisted in the presentation of this check. Mr. James was quoted by WSCC stating; “This grant is an excellent opportunity to assist in building a broader base of supply to meet the growing demand for model-based systems engineering throughout the state of Alabama and the country,”. We look forward to seeing the SET program's growth from this, and what these students will be able to learn for a promising future in MBSE careers.

For those who missed our recent webinar, *"What is MBSE and Why is it Important?"*, that provided an introduction to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering (DE) and their transformative impact on systems engineering. We explored how MBSE and DE modernize outdated processes, bringing agility, accuracy, and collaboration to the defense sector. These approaches are crucial for speeding up development, minimizing errors, and ensuring adaptability in complex projects. Attendees gained insights into how MBSE serves as the foundation for a connected, digital ecosystem, paving the way for robust and future-ready systems. If there are any questions, lets chat. Please feel encouraged to comment below or message us. Thank you to all who participated and engaged with us in the webinar! #VETSLLC #webinar #MBSE #digitalengineering #systemsengineering #professionaldevelopment #personalgrowth #letschat #training #education #speaker
