Returning to Manila for a keynote on AI in Education and conducting two VEX Robotics workshops was nothing short of inspiring. The dedication I witnessed was humbling—some participants drove nine hours just to attend! This level of commitment reaffirms the passion driving STEM education in the Philippines. A special thank you to Sheryl Lyn Monterola for her leadership at the National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development at the University of the Philippines - Diliman, and for being such a gracious host. Also, thank you to Gerard Patrick Hernandez and ArrowHead Robotics for their help facilitating. Finally, thank you to Andy Lee and Heath May for creating these opportunities. It’s experiences like these that remind me of the power of education and the incredible lengths educators go to advance it.
