Announcing the Travis W. Bond Scholarship In conjunction with the Maryland Society of Surveyors Educational Trust, VIKA Companies is establishing the Travis W. Bond Scholarship in memory of Travis who left this world far too early on March 30, 2024. Travis was born March 15, 1980 in Winchester, VA. After high school he studied land surveying at the Community College of Baltimore (CCBC) in Catonsville, MD. and began his career as a land surveyor with VIKA in 2000. He became a certified survey technician in 2002, received the VIKA Spirit Award in 2004, and was licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor by the Maryland State Board of Professional Land Surveyors in 2015. Travis loved land surveying and was proud of his surveying achievements. Spending most of his career at VIKA, his land surveying practice focused primarily on construction stake out. Outside of work, Travis was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking, baseball, and football. His other hobbies included pottery making, wood-working and spending special time with his loving family. He adored his two sons and enjoyed coaching them in the Summit Point Babe Ruth Baseball League. To donate to the Travis W.
