We’re excited to share that Tommy Gering, our Food Cost Specialist, recently participated in the Hands in the Dough experience! 🎉 This program allows team members to step into our pizza restaurants and get hands-on with the business. Tommy had the opportunity to roll up his sleeves, make a pizza, and shadow some of our amazing Quick Service team members. By participating, Tommy gained a deeper understanding of the day-to-day operations, from preparing delicious pizzas to working the register and getting to know the team. This experience helps bridge the gap between roles and strengthens our commitment to teamwork and exceptional guest service. Great job, Tommy! 👏 Keep up the amazing work!

We are excited to share some amazing news from Newark Terminal A! Recently, Terminal A hosted its first-ever Best Burger Cooking Competition, and it was a huge success. With incredible entries from some of your favorite spots, the event showcased just how much the dining scene at the terminal has evolved.🍔 After a day of blind tastings judged by food experts from Dining Out New Jersey, Edible Jersey, and the Eaterie food app, Bluestone Lane's Bayside Burger took home the title of Best Burger of 2024! This juicy, flavorful creation has earned its place as a top choice at the terminal. A special shout-out to Mona, one of our team members at the airport, who was featured in the article Burgers on the Fly: Newark's Terminal A in Edible Jersey-we're proud of you!✈️ Congratulations to all who participated, and let's continue delivering exceptional guest service, showcasing the best of what Villa and our partners have to offer!⭐⭐

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY ... for the last three days, everyone at Villa Restaurant Group has been celebrating our 60th Anniversary! Our theme was Heritage ... Innovation ... Evolution, reflecting our cultural foundation and our need to be innovative to evolve and face today's business challenges! As we look back on our Heritage, we want to thank the many Team Members who have made a difference in our growth! Mr. and Mrs. Scotto ... thank you for your dream and vision!

This week, we celebrate our 60th Anniversary! Having started on Broadway in NYC, we have continued to provide Exceptional Guest Service and quality food. We have grown and persevered through many challenges throughout the years and continue to be strong! We are proud of our Heritage and all of our Team Members. Here is a picture from 10 years ago as we celebrated our 50th Anniversary in Las Vegas!

On this day, we pause to honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We reflect on the courage and resilience of the first responders, the strength of the survivors, and the spirit of unity that brought us together as a nation in the face of tragedy. At Villa Restaurant Group, we are grateful for the heroes among us and extend our deepest condolences to all those who were affected.
