I had the opportunity to attend a fantastic webinar today on fandoms within the massive Halloween and horror culture, hosted by former DreamWorks colleague Sheri Conn and the team at ViralMoment. Leverage Social Media: Halloween is a major social media moment, especially on TikTok and YouTube. Brands should actively engage on these platforms, creating content that taps into Halloween aesthetics and trends as they can drive massive visibility. 2. Capitalize on Fandoms: Fans, creators, and communities drive much of the conversation around Halloween. Brands can tap into these fandoms by creating relevant, fun, and shareable content that aligns with popular franchises or cultural moments, even if they aren’t directly linked to Halloween. 3. Expand Beyond the Day: Halloween isn’t limited to just October. Conversations now start as early as July, offering brands a longer window to capitalize on the excitement.
