Earlier this month, VADA's Don Hall addressed attendees at the Center for Automotive & Mobility Studies (CAMS) Summit in Michigan. Held at Northwood University, he shared insights alongside other industry experts on dealer relationships and the customer experience. It's well worth a watch!

The VADA team and Virginia dealer body congratulate Loyalty Automotive's Dave Perno on his recognition as the 2025 TIME Dealer of the Year for Virginia. On our website, you can read Dave's story — from his start in Chicago as a porter in his father's Ford dealership (where he also met his wife, Kathy), to Loyalty's growth in Virginia, to his support for the franchise system, and his commitment to community service. Dave is a shining example of why we say Virginia dealers "lead from the front." Don Hall National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) https://lnkd.in/ehWj3d6c

The Virginia Mercury looked at the workforce training initiatives and support needed for EVs. “We need people out there willing to get their certifications (and) to help with all the skills we’re lacking right now,” VADA chair Dan Banister told the outlet. He said it’s important to have certified employees available to meet the demands of all their customers including those with EVs. On average, he said technicians work on four to five EVs a month with warranty work or tire replacements. Comments within from VADA's Don Hall, too, on how the state can step up to help.

Complete and accurate pay plans are critical and describe how employees will be paid. A pay plan is as significant as any other critical document in your dealership, and it should be treated as such with definitions, clear terms and conditions and executed by the dealership and the employee.
