The Virginia State Bar is calling on lawyers to volunteer by answering legal questions that arise sometimes weeks or months after a disaster. The American Bar Association's Virginia Free Legal Answers (https://lnkd.in/efgaWnzU) is anonymous for both the lawyer and the client, is free to those who qualify economically, and provides pro bono hours to lawyers looking for an opportunity to help in this time of need. Join today. The VSB has prepared disaster resource information for Virginians: https://lnkd.in/enHhWrmg

Who cares about pro bono? They do! For the pro bono issue of #VirginiaLawyer, we asked judges and lawyers from across the Commonwealth to share their thoughts on pro bono work and how it factors into their professional lives. We were fortunate to get statements from all seven justices of the Supreme Court of Virginia, government lawyers, in-house counsel, law firms, law students, and many more! This issue is mailing out soon! For now, check out the magazine's digital edition: https://bit.ly/VLOct24. #probono #probonowork #lawyers #judges #accesstojustice #virginia
