Check out this post, highlighting some of the research coming out of the Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild. Using our Phantom cameras as part of an advanced imaging technique called Doppler holography, researchers have measured and recorded blood flow in the eye at 35 and 61 microliters per minute. This case highlights the potential of Doppler holography to deliver precise measurements of retinal blood supply. Applications Development Manager at Phantom High-Speed Cameras | Helping to achieve research & engineering goals with the high-speed combustion and UV imaging
We are excited to share an insightful comparison from our latest experiments with high-speed imaging using the Phantom cameras. This video highlights the significant impact that UV filters can have on capturing detailed combustion events. Without UV Filter: The torch flame is captured without a UV filter. While the general shape and movement of the flame are visible, many finer details are lost in the glare and intensity of the light. With UV Filter: The UV band pass filter r blocks all other wavelengths, allowing reactions only visible in the 310 nm wavelength, showing the subtle details within the flame and providing a more precise and informative view of the combustion process. These comparisons underscore the importance of using UV filters in high-speed imaging to reveal critical details that are otherwise obscured. Whether in scientific research or industrial applications, such advancements in imaging technology enable more precise analysis and better-informed decisions. Applications Development Manager at Phantom High-Speed Cameras | Helping to achieve research & engineering goals with the high-speed combustion and UV imaging
Phantom High-Speed Cameras - Vision Research proudly offers our high-speed cameras capable of capturing images in the UV, visible, and Near-IR wavelengths. This innovative addition to the Phantom series offers unprecedented Quantum Efficiency (QE) at 300 nm, offering the potential to capture high-quality UV images with just the camera and a UV lens. Key Features: Extended Spectral Range: Capture images in UV, visible, and Near-IR wavelengths. High Quantum Efficiency: Over 70% QE at 300 nm. Innovative Sensor Design: Couples a BSI sensor with a fused silica cover to allow UV wavelength penetration. Versatile Models: Available in the Phantom TMX Series (TMX 7510, 6410, and 5010), the T3610, and T2410. These cameras are designed to meet the needs of researchers working with phenomena visible only at specific UV wavelengths, such as certain chemical reactions. By eliminating or reducing the need for image intensifiers, the UV-extended Phantom cameras simplify the imaging process and enhance efficiency. Check out this behind-the-scenes video showing the role our Phantom cameras play in the testing labs at Apple. As part of durability tests, an industrial robot is programmed to pick up and drop iPhones onto any surface. The robot can repeat the same drop from the same angle to test the phones' response to different surfaces. Meanwhile, our Phantom 7510 high-speed cameras record the area where the phones land, providing an up-close view of the process. The cameras also provide the data for further analysis of the strain via digital image correlation (DIC).
