While safety and parental choice were high priorities for Sophia, Ruben sought an educational environment that would go beyond traditional academics. As a home school family at Visions, they’ve found that not only are these fundamental needs being met, they are also experiencing countless other benefits of at-home learning, including more time spent together as a family, the opportunity to meet the unique learning needs of each child, and the ability for their boys to learn communication, responsibility, and life skills. #VisionsProud

So many of our alumni have gone on to make a lasting impact in the world, whether it be in higher education, the workforce, or in their communities. 25 years of serving students has never looked so good! To commemorate our 25th anniversary, we put together a video highlighting some of the most significant parts of our story. From a mere vision in 1999 to the largest charter school in Northern California, we have cultivated a legacy of changing lives through personalized learning. Demolition work at our new building in Gold River is officially underway! 🔨🚧 The construction team (not to be confused with a few members of Visions’ Business Services team in the first photo 😉) has been busy ripping out old carpet, tearing down walls, and mapping out our new offices and learning spaces. We still have lots of work to do, but we’re on our way! Thank you Creekside Commercial Builders, Inc. for your supervision and guidance through this project. We can’t wait to move into our new space! 🏢

Back to School season is also Strengths season at Visions. 💪 For the past few years, we’ve partnered with YDN to bring our staff and leadership through a Strengths-Based Development program, which teaches our Visionaries how to find and hone their personal talents. Doing so helps our staff be more engaged with their work, perform at higher levels, and achieve their personal and professional potential. This week, our new teachers had the opportunity to engage with this strengths-based work to get ready for the 2024-25 school year. Thank you to Adrian Ruiz, Executive Director at YDN, for your guidance and partnership in this meaningful work!
