"Baton Rouge’s culinary heritage is anchored in tradition, with deep Cajun and Creole roots, but the city also constantly adapts to new flavors and techniques. Whether you’re looking for iconic fare like boudin, crawfish, and sweet beignets or something more innovative, Baton Rouge is a city that’s best experienced through its food." Cristine Struble from Matador Network could not have said it better 👏👏👏 Thank you for highlighting our evolving culinary scene Cristine! 🔗Check out the full article on "Where to Eat and Drink in Baton Rouge, Louisiana's Culinary Capital" here: https://lnkd.in/eeYdthNx #ExploreBatonRouge

Great times with great partners within our busy season! Last week, we traveled to beautiful Anaheim, CA for the 2024 TEAMS Conference & Expo to meet with National Governing Bodies and event organizers to draw them to the Louisiana! Great job Jason Gewirtz and the Northstar Travel Group team on an impactful event with unbelievable content and opportunities. Special thanks to our awesome partners with the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, New Orleans & Company, Visit Baton Rouge, LafayetteTravel, Discover Monroe-West Monroe, Visit Lake Charles- Louisiana's Playground, Visit Jefferson Parish, and Hilton Shreveport! Also, thank you to Jihan Sheriff-Crichlow, CEO of Play All Gaming for partnering with us to feature our Esports Experience with 2025 NCAA on the PlayStation 5. The Louisiana teams and the Florida Gators won all the games.

The UK loves LSU! 🐯 Last week, our sales and marketing teams had the pleasure of hosting two incredible familiarization tours for travel journalists and tourism sales reps from the United Kingdom. Their Baton Rouge experience featured some of our favorite local spots, including Capitol Park Museum, Louisiana’s Old State Capitol, a cooking class at Red Stick Spice, dinner at The Chimes, and, of course, LSU! Our media guests enjoyed a surprise tailgate put on by our destination experience team while our sales group had the thrill of meeting LSU head football coach Brian Kelly at his weekly radio show—topping it all off with their very first LSU football game! We already can’t wait to welcome them again to the Capital City in the future. 🎉 Special thanks to all of our partners for making our guests feel so welcomed! #ExploreBatonRouge

🏈 Known as Death Valley, LSU's football stadium lives up to its fierce reputation, presenting a formidable challenge for visiting teams in Baton Rouge. Beyond the thrilling games, the tailgating experience is exceptional, with the campus buzzing with impressive spreads of Cajun and Creole favorites like gumbo, shrimp boils, and jambalaya. It’s a celebration of food, culture, and camaraderie. Thank you to Eric Grossman for featuring LSU and its traditions in Thrillist's roundup of the best college football stadiums. We’ve been busy at Visit Baton Rouge, and exciting things are happening! 🎉 ✨We hosted our first culinary fam of the year, treating two journalists to a delicious journey through Baton Rouge’s Cajun and Creole flavors, including a cooking class with Chef Celeste, classic spots like The Chimes and Poor Boy Lloyd’s, and other culinary experiences. 🍽️ ✨To celebrate LSU’s first game of the season, we teamed up with local partners for a fantastic tailgate at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport to help send off fans to Vegas; special thanks to Kristin Jewell for the set up. She knocked it out of the park! (or went for a touchdown in this case 😅🏈) ✨Tamaria Williams had the honor of serving as an alumni panelist at Forum 225’s Barton Leadership Program opening retreat, sharing how the program has shaped her leadership approach both in the workplace and within the community. 🌟 ✨Fallon Gerald Tullier also presented at the U.S. Travel Association’s ESTO and Southeast Tourism Society’s Connections on how we’re using data to create the upcoming Louisiana Lights, a new holiday show starting this November. 🎄💡 We’re excited for what’s ahead and love that our crew is leading the way with innovation, collaboration, and community impact! #ExploreBatonRouge
