Full-circle moment! I had the chance to return to my alma mater at Missouri State University Hospitality Leadership as a guest speaker and connect with students. We talked about how important networking is—not just for landing opportunities, but for learning, growing, and opening doors you didn’t even know existed. Dana Maugans, CDME and Tonia Castaneda attended the MO Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus this week in Jefferson City! They met with state legislators to discuss tourism initiatives that affect Springfield and the entire state of Missouri!

One of the coolest parts of my job—literally! ❄️ I had the chance to film the penguins at Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium experiencing snow for the first time this year, thanks to the chilly temps in Springfield. So glad our aquarium gets to give their animals authentic experiences like we try to give our visitors when they Visit Springfield, Missouri!

Missouri Comic Con had an electrifying weekend at the Springfield Expo Center! This sold out event drew thousands of attendees over two days and had an estimated economic impact of over $1 million. We loved having the event here!

We loved having USA BMX here in Springfield, Missouri this past weekend at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and Wilson’s Logistics Arena! There were over 1000+ riders in attendance with the event impact estimated at bringing over $1.2 million into Springfield! Thanks for visiting!

Another action-packed weekend for the Springfield, Missouri, Sports Commission here in Springfield, MO! Two iconic National Events return for the second straight year in the #417. USA BMX will bring in over 1,000+ unique riders to Wilson Logistics Arena for the Show Me State Nationals, while Enterprise Park Lanes will host the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Pete Weber Missouri Classic on FS1 with the G.O.A.T. Pete Weber in attendance. Last year the Pete Weber Missouri Classic, on FS1, drew an average of 368,000 viewers, marking it the highest viewership for a PBA event on the network since 2021. Looking forward to another great year for both of these events. #SportsETA #SportsTourism #SpringfieldMO #TEAMS
