A study by the Standish Group found that only 31% of projects were completed successfully in 2022. So we wondered: why? Based on our experience, the top reason projects fail is due to an issue with #projectmanagement. Unclear objectives, poor planning, lack of communication, and many more of the “causes” for project failure are actually just symptoms of poor project management. Successful projects require a clear vision, detailed planning, and continuous monitoring. It’s not enough to set a goal and hope for the best; you need to actively manage the process, anticipating obstacles and making adjustments as needed. And even the best teams in the world need great #PMtools to help them maximize their abilities. Don’t leave your project’s success to chance. Implement strong project management practices to increase your chances of success.

According to a survey by UK PMM consultancy, Wellingtone, only 23% of organizations use #PM software. That’s wild, but it tracks with what we’ve noticed at Visor: way too many teams using stopgap measures like docs or spreadsheets to plan and manage projects. The lack of project management software in many organizations is a missed opportunity for efficiency and success. With the complexities of modern projects, especially in tech, relying on outdated methods or no tools at all leads to miscommunication, delays, and budget overruns. The right #projectmanagement software can streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and provide real-time insights into project progress. This is especially crucial in today’s environment, where remote work and cross-functional teams are the norms. Yet, despite the clear benefits, many organizations remain hesitant to adopt these tools, often due to perceived costs. We think that’s a rough reason to skip it, which is why Visor is free to use!
