October is National Physical Therapy Month. We’re celebrating the vital roles of our physical therapists from Hamilton Medical Center, Hamilton Long Term Care, Bradley Whiteside Rehabilitation, Hamilton Home Health, and Hamilton Spine Health and Sport. Thank you for all you do across all our specialty areas and patient populations!

Lauren “Lo” Banaszak is best known for her role as a local midwife who has attended nearly 400 births. But these days, she also wears the title of “mom” since having her own adventure bringing baby David into the world in June. Her birth journey started out as expected, took a detour that ended in an emergency Cesarean, and left her with even more respect for her care team.

We’re celebrating Hamilton Medical Center Infection Prevention associates for helping to keep all our patients safe! It’s also a reminder of the role everyone plays in infection prevention.

This is National Respiratory Care Week. This recognition shines a spotlight on the dedicated Hamilton Medical Center Respiratory Therapists who ensure patients of all ages can breathe easier, from those battling chronic respiratory diseases to those in need of critical care support. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Did you know women diagnosed with breast cancer now have more and better treatment options than ever before? That can mean a better chance of surviving with less invasive treatments. It also means that it's even more important to learn all you can about the disease and the treatment options. When you're figuring out what to ask your doctor, consider these questions suggested by the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute:
