    We are urgently hiring for a Planning and Estimating Specialist in Djibouti, East Africa. Serious inquires! Key Responsibilities: Review and recommend approval or disapproval of minor project quality control and safety plans. Conduct site visits to gather information on facility conditions and recommend remedial actions. Support scheduling efforts to prevent work stoppages and ensure smooth project execution. Monitor work completion, provide recommendations, and assist in final project acceptance. Develop draft project cost estimates for minor works, repairs, and maintenance. Present new work for scheduling and recommend methods for project accomplishment. Participate in system testing, start-up, training, and final acceptance of new systems. Interpret host nation technical and safety standards applicable to project performance. Support client requirements by developing scoping estimates and facilitating work induction. Provide technical support to contractors by answering requests for information. Perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in extreme conditions, including working in confined spaces and using fall protection equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills: Proven ability to perform cost estimates and technical evaluations, compare contractor bids, and make sound recommendations. Strong knowledge of engineering, architecture principles, construction science, or maintenance management. Experience with facility construction and maintenance practices applicable to multi-disciplined projects. Familiarity with Single Platform Maximo (SPM) or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Thorough understanding of safety and health regulations related to maintenance performance. Strong maintenance management skills and knowledge of relevant practices and methods. Language and Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to write reports and communicate effectively with all organizational levels. Minimum Qualifications: Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Background Check: Must successfully pass a background check. Experience: At least 3 years of technical and practical experience in roles such as Customer Liaison, Facility Maintenance Operations, Maintenance Program Manager, Facility Equipment Inventory Manager, Planner/Estimator, Engineering Technician, or Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative for Department of Navy or Department of Defense construction projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, architecture, or construction management.
