About us
Multi-modular Electric Vehicle System (MEVS) – The Dynamic and Transformative Vehicle System (DTVS)! Electric vehicle platform is flat and has no gas line and exhaust system going through its body, and therefore presenting an opportunity to divide its platform into two sections or transformable modules: a driving module (head) and a non-driving module (tail)! The electric vehicle front section consists of operational and control components of a vehicle and costs at least 70% and the rear section about 30%. Modular vehicle concepts are applied by automakers to make various vehicle models with standard platform and modular components. However, these practices only simplify the manufacturing processes and reduce manufacturing costs. The MEVS consists of a driving vehicle module (Head) and a plurality of non-driving vehicle modules (Tails), such as SUV, truck-bed, tool/passenger vans, RV. The driving vehicle module with all functions as an independent operable vehicle with two front wheels and a retractable single wheel at rear-middle position of the vehicle retracted into its housing compartment after the driving module is coupled with a non-driving module. The non-driving modules have at least two wheels located at rear section of the modules; a retractable supporting structure located at front section of the modules for parking and are retracted into compartments housing it and its actuator when the non-driving module is coupled and configured with a driving vehicle module and ready to operate. A standard coupling and configuration system is applied to compile all types of vehicle modules. The transforming vehicles may be switched and resembled with wireless controller and with no driver seating inside the vehicle. The Multi-modular Electric Vehicle System may also enable light commercial fleet and parcel delivery vehicles load, swap and drop ship like semi-trucks, eliminating vehicle loading and idling time, reduce labor and operational costs.

USPTO examiner listed two references related to modular vehicle concept. One from Ford, and the other from GM. Their concepts were based on either manufacturing process or manually connect vehicle modules together and there is no chassis integration and automated coupling configuration capacities! Without automated coupling and configuration process and complete chassis integration, we don't see how these concepts would work out and foundationally innovate the auto industry for the next generation of automotives!
