Jason Brown, Team Lead for Launch, originally joined Volvo Cars in 2019, but moved away from the area to be closer to family. When he had the opportunity to return to Charleston, he knew that meant he would aim to come back to Volvo as well. Since returning, Jason has been involved in the launch of the EX90 as well as many other activities. If he is not in the plant, you might hear him in the choir, find him helping the garden club, or out in the community as a Brand Ambassador. #LifeatVolvoCars #MyVolvoStory 

Yesterday was National Intern Day! This summer, we welcomed students from Clemson University, NC State, Santa Clara University and the Stockholm School of Economics. They experienced all things Volvo, from learning about the plant and our cars, to learning about the industry and making new connections over fika. As their internships come to a close, we want to give them a big shout out and thanks from the Volvo team. We've been in celebration mode since announcing the EX90 start of production in early June. This past weekend, 23 recent high school graduates from Ashley Ridge, Cross, Stall and Woodland took their final steps toward joining the Volvo Cars team. Over the past five months, students have been exposed to all aspects of life at Volvo Cars. They tested their skills in a simulated work environment, connected with Volvo Team Members from all areas of the plant, and went behind the scenes for a glimpse of today’s manufacturing. Upon the successful completion of the pre-hire training, students were offered a full-time position with Volvo, which starts in July! Family, friends, school administrators and community partners joined us in celebrating this milestone at the Volvo Accelerator Graduation. We are excited to welcome these graduates to the team and look forward to watching them grow their careers with Volvo. Congratulations! #LifeAtVolvoCars

Today is officially Midsummer! While our colleagues in Sweden celebrate this special holiday, we're thrilled to share highlights from last Saturday’s Swedish Midsummer Festival at Cypress Gardens. From flower crowns to dancing around the maypole, our community came together to celebrate the Swedish tradition with family and friends. Enjoy the sunshine, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!

This past Saturday, we hosted our second annual Swedish Midsummer Festival at Cypress Gardens. Attendees enjoyed traditional dancing around the maypole, Swedish treats, and games for all ages, celebrating the longest day of the year and special Swedish holiday. Did you make it to the festival?
